Gil is CEO & Founder of Capitolis. He is a serial entrepreneur in financial technology with a successful record of creating disruptive products and companies and leading them through global scaling.

Prior to Capitolis, Gil was the CEO of EBS BrokerTec, NEX Group’s (formerly ICAP’s) foreign exchange and fixed income electronic markets business. He also served as a member of ICAP’s Global Executive Management Group.

Before EBS BrokerTec, Gil was the CEO of Traiana, a post-trade processing company he founded in 2000. Gil led Traiana’s growth from a small start-up to a recognized global leader, resulting in Traiana’s acquisition by ICAP in 2007 for $250M. A Kellogg School of Management business case study was written about Gil and the success of Traiana.

Gil is a current member of the CFTC’s Global Market Structure Subcommittee and has been a member of the New York Federal Reserve’s Foreign Exchange Committee, the Bank of England’s Joint Standing Committee, and the Bank of Canada’s Foreign Exchange Committee. He was awarded the e-FX achievement award by FX Week in 2012 in recognition of his lasting contribution to the development of the FX industry, and in 2013 he was inducted into Profit & Loss Magazine‘s Hall of Fame. In 2015 and 2016, Gil was named to Institutional Investor’s prestigious Trading Technology 40 list.

Gil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Sociology from Tel Aviv University (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master of Business Administration degree (With Distinction) from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. In 2012, Gil was the Keynote speaker at INSEAD’s graduation ceremony.

Tom is a Co-Founder of Capitolis and the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. 

Previously, Tom worked at Reuters Group PLC and its successor company, Thomson Reuters Corp. He served as CEO during his last 11 years at the news, professional information and financial services provider. Prior to Reuters he was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York, Paris and Tokyo.

Tom is Executive Chair and Co-Founder of BlueVoyant and a Partner in Communitas Capital. He is also a director of Merck & Co. (Lead Director), Morgan Stanley (Lead Director), Publicis Groupe, K2 Integrity and the Atlantic Council; and a trustee of the Cleveland Clinic and various alumni boards at Columbia and Yale Universities.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Columbia University and a J.D. degree from Yale Law School.
