At Capitolis, we are driven by a deep sense of purpose and operate with a clear set of values. We believe the connection between what we do and who we are is more important than ever. That’s why we take the time to support the communities in which we live and operate.
Last month, we celebrated our sixth annual Capitolis Connects, our initiative that connects capital markets with human service organizations in New York, London, and Tel Aviv doing innovative and impactful work to serve these communities. During the month of June, Capitolis donated a portion of all transactional revenue from our platform to organizations chosen by our employees that are dedicated to helping those most in need.
As we advance our goal of making capital markets safer, healthier, and more accessible, our platform enables us to make a bigger impact. This year, Capitolis supported the following human service organizations:
- Sarcoma UK, London — Sarcoma UK is an organization that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer, and campaigns for better treatments. It is the only cancer charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma. Their mission is to ensure everyone affected by sarcoma receives the best treatment, care, information, and support available;
- Children’s Village, New York — Children’s Village operates a variety of programming designed to help at risk youth achieve positive outcomes in education, career, and social inclusion. They also sponsor jobs training and housing placement for former students to help them establish independent livelihoods. Finally, they work with various federal agencies to house and treat victims of human trafficking and undocumented minors;
- Coalition for the Homeless — Grand Central Food Program, New York — Coalition for the Homeless is the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless individuals and families. They believe that affordable housing, sufficient food, and the chance to work for a living wage are fundamental rights in a civilized society;
- Hostages and Missing Families Forum, Tel Aviv — Formed less than 24 hours after the horrific Hamas attack on Israeli villages and towns on October 7th, 2023, The Hostages and Missing Families Forum is a civil, volunteer-based organization with no political affiliation, focused on bringing our loved ones back home by any means necessary through all available channels. The forum includes thousands of volunteers, from the families themselves to senior figures in the security, judicial, communication, advertising, creative, and diplomatic sectors.
These organizations were selected by Capitolis employees across our offices, and employees of Capitolis also personally volunteered their time. We consider it an obligation and a privilege to build and operate a model company for a better world, and to lead by example, with purpose and intention in everything we do.
Thanks to the efforts of Capitolis’ clients and employees, to date we have donated over $500,000 to local human service organizations and other causes. We believe purpose and value creation go hand in hand, and we are proud to continue connecting global capital to human service organizations every year through Capitolis Connects.
